The Reform UK leader Accuses Educators of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Race Issues

The political figure stated that teachers would go on strike within weeks a success at the polls for his party, accusing them of “poisoning our kids” by telling children that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.

During an event for a private US Christian college, the politician expressed his perspective on British schools, claiming that the “radical left-wing” had “now in control of our education system”.

“I’m anticipating a teachers’ strike soon after winning the next general election,” he remarked during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They instruct children to feel guilt about their nation. They are telling little Johnny, who’s eight, who is black that he is a victim and a white child of the same age that he is an oppressor. They are dividing us, instead of fostering unity. They are feeding this negative culture.”

In response to these assertions, Daniel Kebede dismissed the notion that the schools were under Marxist influence as “absurd”. He pointed out that industrial action must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and questioned whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“Farage has built his political career on dog-whistle politics and now, similar to other figures, he is targeting educators and their unions for a fight,” Kebede stated.

“I think that’s grossly irresponsible. I don’t – and nor does my union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … If he were to lead the government he would undermine state services, including education … and he would be a disaster for education and children.”

Reform, which tops surveys by about 10 points, has provided limited specifics on its educational plans and seems not to have appointed an education spokesperson.

However, his comments suggested the group would reform the system and the curriculum. He said: “We face an enormous task with education – absolutely herculean. Moreover, it won’t happen quickly; it will take us years, a long-term effort to reform.”

Farage expressed that younger generations are receptive to critical thinking, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Honoring Charlie Kirk, he commented: “All I want education to do to teach critical thinking – to instruct people that multiple perspectives exist and you make up your own mind rather than what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. This is a huge undertaking in the UK and US.”

The party has conflicted with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “far right and racist” and dismissed Farage as “a cheap imitation”.

Farage has accused the union head with being “a self-declared Marxist” … someone who is absolutely determined that young minds be corrupted through education, their minds should be poisoned about everything to do with this country” and has argued that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Roughly a million individuals work in schools in the UK, with educators comprising half and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The leading teachers’ organization has hundreds of thousands of members.

National strikes over teacher pay and conditions in recent years led to significant interruptions in educational institutions and millions of days of lost learning for students.

During the American gathering, Farage also pledged to help spread the online educational material of the institution in the UK. He stated organizations like it were “part of the fightback”, noting: “I mean this. I’ll assist garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of youth to your online courses. I pledge this tonight and I’ll do that.”

The institution, a religious educational establishment, offers free courses. According to its online description: “A scientific, literary, theological, political, and moral education is necessary for personal happiness and to maintain the benefits of civil and religious liberty. The college furnishes these excellent programs for free to all who wish to learn.”
