Oscar-Nominated Star Diane Ladd, Known For Her Performance in Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore, Dies at the Age of 89.

This actor, with roles spanned National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, died at her home in California’s Ojai. Her passing was revealed through a message shared by her child, Oscar-winning actor her daughter Laura Dern.

Her daughter, who performed alongside her mother in a number of films such as Wild at Heart, called her “my amazing hero plus my special gift being my mom”, writing that she was at her bedside as she died.

“She was the most wonderful mother, daughter, grandmother, performer, creative along with empathetic spirit that seemed almost dreamlike,” she stated. “We were fortunate to know her. She is now with the angels.”

Early Career and Breakthrough
